  Board of Directors
 
  The Board of Directors of Medserv plc is responsible for the overall direction and management of the Company.  
     
  Executive Directors:  
 

Anthony S. Diacono – Chairman
Mr Diacono has been a director of Medserv’s operating company since 1997. He has held several posts as chairman, CEO or director in both the public and the private sector. He brings to the Group his experience obtained in Malta and overseas in both the manufacturing and service sector. As of April 2010, Mr Diacono also sits on the board of directors of CommBank Europe Limited. He is also active with the Constituted Business Organisation in Malta and was President of the Malta Federation of Industry between 1992 and 1993.

 
 

Anthony J. Duncan
Formerly a banker, Mr Duncan has been a director of Medserv’s operating company since 1987. He has held senior posts with European and U.S. companies including bankers Kleinwort Benson Limited and American Express International Banking Corporation. From 1982 until 2001 he held the post of Group Treasurer for Albert Abela Group, previous owners of Medserv.

 
     
  Non-Executive Directors:  
 

Johannes Jacobus van Leeuwen
Mr Van Leeuwen is a certified public accountant and served as a director of the Operating Company since 1997 at which time Medserv was still part of the Abela Group. In 1982 he joined Albert Abela as Vice President Finance having previously held senior management positions with U.S. and other international companies. He played a key part in the management of Albert Abela Corporation and its subsidiaries whose operations extended worldwide, as a senior Vice President serving on the board of directors of many of them.

 
 

Joseph F.X. Zahra
Mr Zahra is a chartered marketer (U.K.), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Member of the Market Research Society (U.K.) and the Gruppo di Studio per il Bilancio Sociale (Milan, Italy). He is a former Chairman of Bank of Valletta and has been actively involved in both private and public institutions and organisations, namely the Malta Chamber of Commerce, the UNIDO National Committee (Malta), the Malta Enterprise, the Commonwealth Business Council, the Central Bank of Malta, the Malta Development Corporation and the Malta Bankers Association. Mr. Zahra is the chairman of Middle Sea Group. Mr Zahra also holds the position of visiting lecturer at the University of Malta and the Universita` degli studi di Messina.

 
 

Professor Dr David Roberts
Professor Roberts has over 30 years experience in all aspects of oil and gas exploration worldwide and extensive knowledge of deep water areas, sedimentary basins, and stratigraphy and prospect assessment. He spent 22 years with BP Exploration in a number of technical roles, including Global Exploration Adviser and Distinguished Exploration Adviser. On his retirement from BP in 2003, Professor Roberts established his own Malta based geoscience consultancy. He is a visiting professor and fellow of Royal Holloway, University of London, the University of Southampton and IFP School in Paris. He is a non-executive director of Premier Oil plc and GETECH plc.
